I can't resist telling you that
ReplyDeleteA professional proof-reader and regular reader from London N10 wrote to me by email:
Barbra Streisand is spelled thus
- which is more irritating, my pedantry
or her stupid spelling? I personally wd refuse to register first names
such as Chelsee, Chardonnay & (my favourite, this, from my daughter's
class at school) Dejeuner - I blame the registrars...
ouch & gee on the spelling of barbra...20 years ago I probably knew that! well they're all hard at work recording as I write...maybe some greenroom stories next posting
ReplyDeleteA word of explanation may be required re Lee's comment. A slip-up on a press release from her office which I failed to spot....
