Nigel Kennedy and Thomas Gould - violins on video at the Vortex

video

Nigel Kennedy normally plays FAR larger venues than the 110- capacity Vortex. His Bach meets Fats Waller project will next be heard here at the Royal Fesitval Hall on 15th September, but it received a first London outing at the Vortex this week. We're hearing tales of an amazing evening, which ended up with the violinist Thomas Gould who leads the Aurora Orchestra - (both above) with Polish guitar hero Jarek Smietana, drummer Krzysztof Dziedzic and bassist Yaron Stavi keeping the temperature high till after midnight.

  1. It was a wonderful evening...

This was the first public performance before the Far East Tour and then I shall go to the Royal Festival Hall in September 2012 to hear the final show of Nigel and Jarek Smietana and friends (after the Far East Tour).
