I have seen audiences drift out of small clubs. But the rate at which Lauryn Hill managed to empty the 8,000 Klippies venue - many went to hear Third World on the outdoor stage - was for me something to remember. There have been stunning concerts, and I will be writing proper round-ups for Jazzthetik in Germany and Spectator Culture.. but memories of live music come in many forms, and this was a collector's item.
