NEWS: London Jazz Festival 2013 Announcements


The London Jazz Festival made the first announcements today concerning the 2013 festival.

- This year's Festival, the twenty-first, is November 15th-24th

- A first group of thirteen concerts at the South Bank and the Barbican, plus Sonny Rollins at the Royal Albert Hall, will go on sale on this Friday April 19th.

Hugh Masekela and Larry Willis - Queen Elizabeth Hall
Stan Sulzmann’s Neon Orchestra - Purcell Room

Saturday 16 November

Sunday 17 November
Wayne Shorter: Quartet and BBC Concert Orchestra - Barbican
Charlie Parker on Dial (Alex Webb's project) - Purcell Room (two shows)

Monday 18 November
Sonny Rollins - Royal Albert Hall

Tuesday 19 November
Tigran Hamasyan + Elina Duni - Queen Elizabeth Hall

Thursday 21 November
Brad Mehldau and Mark Guiliana: Mehliana - Barbican
John McLaughlin and Zakir Hussain: Remember Shakti - Royal Festival Hall
Gilad Atzmon - Southbank Centre/Queen Elizabeth Hall

Sunday 24 November
Madeleine Peyroux - Royal Festival Hall

- The new headline sponsor for the next three years, replacing BBC Radio 3 who have stepped out,  is EFG International, a private banking group headquartered in Swizerland, and majority-owned by a Greek family
